October 4 2010: She came ridin' in to Washington to help clean up the mess George W. Bush had left of the U.S. economy. But my first concrete memory of Elizabeth Warren was when she took to the airwaves to chastise the banking industry for ripping off consumers with "tricks and traps."

The new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau was her idea, and Obama has appointed her to set it up. And I say, "Yay!"

This is a real good example of why you, my dear reader, are going to VOTE -- for DEMOCRATS -- next month. You think a Republican would do something so wonderful for your bottom line? They're all about tax cuts for the rich.

Elizabeth Warren is all about YOUR prosperity.

UPDATE October 8 2010: Here's exactly what we can expect from Elizabeth Warren. She wants to simplify and clarify the language in your banking contracts. She told an interviewer:

It breaks my heart to say this, but I think the word 'disclosure' has become a dirty word. What it's come to mean is layers and layers of fine print that nobody reads and nobody understands. Indeed, it's worse than useless because it is shrubbery to hide muggers.

This is why we produced this super-stoked video in the first place. Government CAN work for the people, when the right one is in charge.
